When I joined my current company (A), I brought with me one of my existing consulting client (X). This client is billed through a sister company (B) of the employing company (A) and is beng exclusively being served by me.The job offer (from A) that I accepted says that I cannot work for or provide service, directly or indirectly, to any client I was involvedfor 24 months after I leave the company (A). Now, this client X has approached me to join him.
Will it be contravening my contract with the current employer (A)? Will it make a difference that X was a client that I brought? Will it make a difference that X is being billed by B? Any legitimate way out?
