new journalist in da house help me?

im studying social politics but my biggest dream is to work in a magazine.I started working in a magazine for students,but first i have to be THAT great to be paid.im ok with that,but i am responsible for everything!i mean im sooo greatfull i m the chief editor but my boss keeps asking me things i cant do cause im an amateur!what should i do?
